The BTH Turbines used throughout the station were very similar in layout and design - just got bigger with time - the speeder gear driven from the main shaft drove the main oil pump, |

The closest machine is No 4, then No 3 and below the roof in the distance lays Generators 1 and 2 ex Torquay together with two rotary converters taking over duty from the original DC machines. One 200 kw DC machine was retained. |
