No. IV was purchased from Brixham (George Webber)
where she operated as the Dart Princess.
She was an open boat but with a cabin/wheelhouse to forward. She was soon modified to
provide a steerage position on the cabin top. She was a very basic workhorse after the
splendour of No: III. |

|
The operating regime changed much as passenger numbers dropped and a considerable part
of her time was spent operating 'ferry' services between Paignton and Torquay Harbours. |

|
As with each of the Coral * Star fleet No. IV
carried forward Johnny's love of Chrome plating, Varnish work and the
Dolphins - always admired on the tender to the Royal Yacht. Coloured
lights were obligatory as was the standard of cleanliness maintained in
military fashion! |

In 1997 she was sold and the name Coral Star left Paignton Harbour for
good - or did she? |
|
|
|
In 2010 she returned as part of the developing
Greenway Ferry Company to ply her trade again from Brixham joining other
work horses of the Pleasure Boat business from years past including the
Western Lady III operating as the Fairmile. |

|
She can now be seen on the Isle of White at
Yarmouth still
sailing under the Coral * Star banner. (August 2015) |
